wasup yall welcome to my official blog site im not a big fan of blogging but i decided to create one to share to you my stories trials tribulations and drama from the beats that i produced composed and arranged and also to share to you how i started out.
My real name is Ray P. Bajamunde Jr. but in the pinoy hiphop scene iam lokidaboywonder im already 31 years old happily married and i have 1 handsome little boy named jacob malik. and ive been producing composing and arranging hiphop music to some of the most talented hiphop artists in the philippine hiphop scene for quite sometime. I started out as a rap artist. and i was one of the members in the rap group MADDPOETS.. thats right the maddpoets.... my interest in the world of hiphop started when i use to watch my uncle DINO PANTI doing the strut and breakdance that was around 1983 (just do the math as to how old i was) my uncle used to breakdance whenever we have family reunions in our house. Dino panti is one of the pioneers in breakdancing, he belonged to the crew that Andrew E and Jay smooth of bass rhyme posse used to have. To give you and idea how he sounds like check BASS RHYME songs titled: "whose in the house" he did some drops on that song... when my parents were seperated we used to live with my grand mothers house in moonwalk las pinas... and i would usally see Mr Francis M together with Ms Pia at my grand mothers house they used to have a toyota Hi ace. Jay of bass rhyme in the other hand would also hang out because he lived in a village called delnor that was quite near moonwalk.
Andrew E is one of my uncles friend and i would usually see Andrew E in my grandmothers sala talking about strut poplocking and breakdancing. Andrew E was about to blow out that time he was very humble and kind. My mother even had a picture of them taken with andrew e sporting a hair that was quite similar to kidnplay. I witnessed Andrew E pop locking and he was really good at it. who would even think that one day i will come across with adrew e to be one of his first rappers in his label called DONGALO records which i will share to you more on the next episode of my blog.
I was quite previllaged to be exposed with pinoy hipohp culture at an early age. I saw Francis M, Jay smooth of base rhyme and Andrew E in the flesh. My unlce had a lot of cassete tapes of RUN DMC and betamax tapes of breakdancing strut and poplocking and he also had really nice classic kicks like the airfoce one1 on canvass and the one i really liked but i couldnt have The Nike rebel. The first rap song i listened to was a song by the Fat Boys called All you can eat it. it was simple but yet i was fascinated with the beat box there done by Buffy the human beatbox. then i was able to listen to the album of mantronix (in full effect) and i loved the song "gangster boogie" the music that i was listening to that time wasnt all rap music i also loved new wave music i would ask my mom to buy those t shirts that top 40 would usually make. because it was packaged as if it was a vinyl.
By the time i reached hi school i was listening to young mc and my all time favorite. Heavy d and the boys and sometimes jazz music with the likes of bob james, pat metheny chuck mangione and others. most of my classmates were listening to pearl jam nirvana and stone temple pilots and i would listen to rap music. In high school i met Lee "quiazy" katindoy and Paul "caine" Pffifner.
i wanted to go straight on how maddpoets started but i will have to continue on my next post.
for now im audi 3000 yall
